The CID police claimed to have arrested three suspects, having links with Al Qaeda, from Karachi.
CID Inspector Raja Umar Khattab said on Friday the accused were involved in the killings of policemen and people of Bohri community. He said four pistols, four hand grenades, explosive material and more than 30 detonators were recovered from the custody of the accused.
The inspector further said the arrested Al Qaeda men were students of Karachi university, adding the media group of Al Qaeda had distributed its literature in the varsity sometimes back.
Raja Khattab said Al Qaeda was growing its influence among students and teachers of the Karachi University.
