The two were held on New Year's Eve Friday night from Tailaya police station area of Bhopal.
"Both were wanted in Kashmir and were involved in terrorist activities in Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir. We have contacted Jammu and Kashmir Police, who will soon reach Bhopal," Director General of Police S.K. Rawat told reporters at a media briefing at the police headquarters.
The two arrested have been identified as Shaukat Ahmad Hakim and Mehrajuddin Shergujari, both hailing from Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"They have been reportedly involved in militant activities but at this primary level we could not say with which militant organisation they were involved with," Rawat said.
