Video: Russian painter creates masterpieces underwater

Moscow - She also hosted an exhibition of her artwork earlier this year.

Olga Belga is a Russian scuba diving instructor and an underwater painter who paints masterpieces from the depths of the Red Sea. Smitten by the underwater kingdom, Belga creates unique paintings which bring models and sea animals to life while under water. 
Belga, who lives in Thailand, decided to turn an underwater painter because she wanted to capture the beauty of life under the waves and has since created some truly unique pictures. "That is why I do paintings underwater. For me, the sea is a boundless resource of inspiration and energy," Daily Mail quoted Belga as saying.  
But painting under the sea is not an easy task as each of her unusual pieces of artwork requires between two and six two-hour dives to complete. Each of her unique paintings sells for as much as $3000 while for those wanting to learn underwater painting from her would also cost the same. However, spending a day painting with Belga underwater would cost from $100, states Daily Mail reports.
In a video, Belga can be seen painting her masterpiece of model, Ksenia Galata, whilst the two were attached to oxygen tanks underwater. "Every time, while scuba diving, I wanted to capture the underwater beauty and share my impressions with other people. An artist is not a profession, it is a mission. I want to share my vision of the underwater kingdom with the world," Belga added.
She previously stated that she finds the sea a 'constant source of inspiration' that she can share with the world. A statement on her website states: 'But what do people who can't afford scuba diving do? How can they see underwater beauties? It is impossible to render this beauty with photos and videos'. 
 Besides teaching diving to both children and adults, Belga also hosted an exhibition of her artwork earlier this year.
