Bollywood celebrities and fans of Sridevi flocked to the residence of her brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, as they tried to come to grips with the sudden death of the versatile actor who had ruled over hearts and Bollywood for decades.  Sridevi's two daughters, Khushi and upcoming actor Jahnvi are staying at the house.
Among those who visited to condole Sridevi's death on Monday were Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Tabu, Saroj Khan, Rekha, Rani Mukherji, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and Anupam Kher.
Police officials at Anil Kapoor's house said as many as 150 people from Karnataka came to pay homage to Sridevi, while another group from Telangana gathered outside the actor's Lokhandwala residence. Fans from Rajasthan and other parts of India had also arrived.
Sridevi, died in her hotel room in the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai, at 11pm on Saturday, the Indian Consulate in Dubai revealed.
Sridevi's body is yet to be released by the forensic department of Dubai Police and may be repatriated to India later today. Meanwhile, Dubai Police has moved the case to Dubai Public Prosecutor and it needs clearance before being taken to the embalming unit in Muhaisna.  Sridevi's funeral will be held in Mumbai today. At Kapoor's house, police have increased security and cordoned off the area to keep fans at a distance.

Thousands of heartbroken fans and Bollywood actors paid their final respects to Indian superstar Sridevi Kapoor.  
Huge crowds of mourners - some carrying roses, others holding photos of the late actress - lined Mumbai's streets to see their beloved idol embark on her last journey. 
At one point police had to use batons to force back those who had not been able to get into the hall where her body was laid out, wrapped in the Indian flag.

The Maharashtra government has decided to accord actress Sridevi full state honours at her funeral scheduled later on Wednesday afternoon, official sources said.  
The state honours for the actress, who was conferred Padma Shri in 2013, will include draping her body in the national tricolour, elaborate arrangements by the Mumbai Police, and a gun salute before the cremation. 
According to a statement issued on behalf of the Kapoor and Ayyappan families, Sridevi's body will be kept for three hours at the Celebrations Sports Club in the afternoon to enable people pay their last respects. 
The final journey will commence around 2pm to the Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery at S.V. Road in Vile Parle west, where it will reach around 3.30pm.

Sridevi's body is being transported to her Lokhandwala residence in Green Acre from the airport, after reaching Mumbai airport tonight.
According to media reports, a special corridor had been setup to ensure smooth transportation of the body.
Family and friends, including Anil Ambani, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Amar Singh among others were at the airport to receive the body.
