Students of two kindergarten classes in a Tennessee elementary school learnt signing 'Happy Birthday' to surprise their partially deaf teacher on his 60th birthday. The video went viral and has drawn huge admiration. According to a Facebook post by Hickerson Elementary in Tullahoma, the students were keen to surprise their teacher James Anthony, who was hard-of-hearing. Anthony has been working in the school for 15 years. Although he can't hear, he can read lips. "Mrs Allyssa Hartsfield and Mrs Amy Hershman's kindergarten classes learned how to sign 'Happy Birthday' along with help from teacher aide, Shelly Lucas, and school nurse, Angela Ridner," the school said. Many ex-students of the school have lauded the adorable video, which evoked nostalgia in them. They have commented on it and shared their childhood memories. "He used to give us all high fives and was always smiling," said one post by Camron Phelps. Another one said: "What a blessing you have been to the students and staff of many Coffee County schools."
