A wet weekend is in store for the UAE and temperatures are expected to dip across the country. Rain is forecast in most parts, and mountainous regions could also experience some snow.
On Thursday, Ras Al Khaimah experienced heavy showers, while light to moderate rain caught some people unawares in Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain in the evening.
The National Center for Seismology and Meteorology also said winds could throw up dust across the country. The Arabian Gulf would be ''rough to very rough'' the national forecaster said. People are advised not to go out to sea because of the inclement weather.

Motorists should be cautious as low visibility from the dust and rain could impair their driving. Slippery roads could pose a challenge for drivers who are advised to stick to speed limits and reduce speed when necessary.
Temperatures in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi are expected to fall with highs hovering between 16 to 20 degree Celsius. It could plummet to as low as 11 degree Celsius in Ras Al Khaimah.
